Term Definition
friction: A force that opposes the motion of a body across a surface or through a gas or liquid.
gravity: A force that exists between any two objects that have mass.
speed: Distance traveled per unit of time.
velocity: The speed and direction of moving objects.
acceleration: A change in the velocity (speed, direction, or both) of a body.
deceleration: slowing down
Scale: description of the relative size or amount of 2 or more things; a device used for measuring weight
Resist: to push or act against
Kilogram: metric unit for describing mass
Attract: to pull towards
