Miller) Other types of media that can be offered are banner advertisements for large companies such as Yahoo. com and Google. com. The second difference between graphic designing for print versus the web is that technology is keeping up with the industry which is really ideal since both print and web are always coming out with new needs and advances. As a print designer it is important to work with graphic programs such as Adobe Photoshop CS, Illustrator and CorelDraw.

These programs can be purchased at a retail store with rights to the programs or can be easily downloaded on the website itself. These also can be purchased at a retail store and or can be easily downloaded on the websites of the companies. Web designers need to know what type of a programmer they are to be to decide what will help out with the designs and how they will be more effective to grab a certain audience. The third difference between graphic designing for print versus the web is careers that are provided in both categories. Print designing careers that are offered in this type of field may be an Art Director at a magazine company or Ad designer at a firm on a consignment basis.

Other opportunities that may be offered are a print designer as a package designer for a perfume company and or a designer for a t-shirt company such as Old Navy. Companies are always looking for the new advances in technology and are looking for the designers with the skills to use them along with new and improved ideas. As a web designer, careers that are offered in this type of field might be a web designer for a social design firm or for a social networking site. Some social networking sites include; Facebook, Twitter and Myspace.

These sites offer many opportunities with updating the site’s information to adding information along the web pages. Other careers can include a flash designer for movies websites and banner advertisements for a marketing firm. As a web designer these type of opportunities will be available with upcoming new ideas for websites and new designing projects for the future. In conclusion, print design versus web design has come a long way over many years and has improved many ways. Print design is in the past and costs more time and money in the end versus web design. Web design is technologically ready and will always be available in the future.
