Motivation to Further Your Education It Is time for my life to change by taking the opportunity to go back to school for my children, a change in my career and finally my dream job. When I was in High School I did not realize how important it was to go straight to college. It wasn’t until I had children of my own to make me face reality. At my current employment Industry, higher positions unavailable. What point do you finally reach until you are ready to make a change? My kids are my biggest motivation.
I found out was pregnant with my first born Son at the age of 16. Still In high school. I was very nervous. It was my session to stay in school and graduate. I accomplished getting my high school diploma as planned. My son was at my graduation and I held him the entire ceremony. Shortly after that, I became a single mother. Alter on down the road, I got remarried and had two beautiful daughters that were 22 months apart. As a young mother of three, I never wanted my kids to tell me that they did not accomplish something because It Is too difficult.
I feel It Is necessary to be a good role model. Now my son is 16, and currently a sophomore in high school and my two daughters are ages 11 and 13. For my son, I would like to show him how important it is to go to allege and get the highest education possible to better his future. As for my daughters, I want them to have independence. Hopefully after my three children watch me succeed and it will set a good example for them. Being unable to receive an opportunity Tort advancement at my current employment Industry Is very discouraging.
Many of my coworkers have been employed there for many years and I realized that is not a lifetime career for me. I did not want to see myself in that position in the future. In today’s economy it is very important to get your college degree to make a decent salary. The iconography field is my dream Job. I have wanted to pursue this career for almost twenty years. Due to starting a family at an early age, I was unable to reach my goal after high school. I have also personally experienced my own sonograms, for various health reasons, and I want to be able to help other people in the same manner.
I believe it is very important that you find not Just a Job, but a career that you enjoy doing every day. My current Job working for an Eye Doctor was supposed to be temporary. After being employed there for over 4 years, I was disappointed it was not part of my plan. When I first started the in 2009, I saw how long my coworkers eave been working there and I thought that won’t be me! At our annual meeting, we were all patiently waiting for our pins that have the amount of years you have been there.
I remember turning to talk to another coworker and told her that I could not believe some people have been there for 25 years. Our bosses had us stand up in different groups to show everyone how proud they we were of us. They then grouped employees 15 to 25 years, and others 3 to 14 years. It was shocking to see how many of the employees have been there 10-25 years! At that moment I knew it was time for me to make a change. I did not want to be one of my coworkers stuck at the same Job for that long of a period.
There is no room for promotions, raises at a certain point are capped and there is not a better position you can be placed there. As of this year, I knew I was in a better position to take the opportunity to return to college. It was necessary for me to get a higher level of education. For me to succeed in life and get out of the position I was in, I had to make it all happen. Life is too short to be unhappy and not live your dream. When I achieve my goal and become a Medical Diagnostic Oceanographer, I will have officially achieved one of my biggest Laos.
There are many different reasons and motives I have had to help get me where I am at today. I have my three children, wanting a more fulfilling career and the desired field of employment. I have wanted this for many years and it gave me the ambition and the courage to attend. Although it is very challenging at times, the reward after graduating college will be worth it. It is never too late to further your education. I feel if you are unhappy with the position you are currently in, do something about it. What is your dream and how long will you wait until you make that change?
