Music has been around for as long as I can remember. People always had a way of making music. Have you ever noticed the way music makes you feel when you hear it on the radio or even on tv? Some people hear a song that is romantic and it makes them think about all the good times they had in the past with their significant other or even their friends. Even songs that might bring you down makes you think of all the bad times you had when you were younger or even yesterday.
People have hard times remembering a simple question but if a song comes on the radio they know every word and beat to it. Music has always been something that people can remember and understand. You can listen to any kind of music and appreciate it. I believe that music is a direct link to our souls. It expresses moods and emotions so quickly that it has the power to change our minds in seconds. It reminds us that we are all connected and that we have more similarities than differences between us.
Music is the one thing that includes science, mathematics, language, history, physical education, insight, research and art in order to create expression. Confucius once said that “music is born of emotion. ” If we were to take music out of a motion picture the audience would be left with a two dimensional film. It really doesn’t matter what language a song is sung in, it is the emotion expressed within a song that we can all relate to and feel within us.
