When I think about what my hero means to me, I realize that most of my special memories and feelings toward my hero come from the little things he does everyday. My hero Is not a celebrity or such a recognizable face. My hero is not a national hero but he does hug me and tell me to have a good day. He doesn’t buy me expensive or fancy accessories, but he does whisper to me that I’m his special girl. He Is Just an average, quiet man, whom I honor and respect. My hero is very hard working. He comes home around 5-0-clock at night and knishes any kind of paperwork he needs to finish for the day if any.

He uses his intelligence at work for the many different things he knows about purifying water, and at home with ordinary things like helping me with my homework or fixing household appliances. My hero is also very supportive. He gives me one hundred percent support in helping me become an Information Systems Operator for my career when I graduate from college. Finally, my hero Is very caring. He helps me with any problems I may have, and always tries to find time to spend with me, and If he ant find time, he makes time.

My hero always puts one hundred and ten percent into being a superb person. He is there for me, whether it is to cheer me on at my sports games or to yell loudly at any workouts or practices I may have. The point is he would never miss these activities for all the money in the world because he wants to show his support for my efforts in everything I do. I know it is his way of showing how much he cares about me and how proud he is when I try my best. When I know he is there rooting for me, I try even harder to succeed.

There are a great number of special moments that I share with my hero. We both really enjoy playing and watching sports, particularly baseball and hockey. We often play catch or practice hitting In the backyard, Just him and l. During these perfect moments, we talk about what is going on in our lives and often joke around with one another. It seems like we are in a whole different world when we talk. No one else is listening and it is easy to express ourselves and speak out our thoughts, especially those that we would not normally say when we were among other people.

I cherish these special times when it is Just my hero and I alone together. My hero coaches sports and spends time with kids, everyone’s kids not Just his own. He gives up overtime at work to make sure he is there. He coaches kids in baseball and softball. He tries to teach them everything they need to know to become better athletes. He coaches his players to be humble winners and good losers. In the year 1995, he took an All-Star baseball team out of Frecklier and led them to the Dialect 24 All-stars, which are all the local area teams playing against each other.

The Frecklier All-stars won District 24 and qualified in Section 3, which means they Worthington, Pennsylvania, which is a town northeast of Pittsburgh. The 1995 Frecklier All-stars finished as one of the top five teams in the state of Pennsylvania. My hero keeps his yard looking like a golf course. He likes his yard nice and clean so that I have plenty of room to play with my dogs. He taught me how to pitch and throw a softball and he also taught me how to shoot a free throw for basketball. My hero even taught me to throw a football even though I don’t play.

He baits my hook for me when we fish because I am afraid to touch the worms. He takes the fish off the hook if I happen to catch one. One day, we hope to catch a shark when we fish off the pier at Ocean City, Maryland. My hero worries when my family is sick. He laughs when we laugh. He is sad when we are sad, but most of the time he tries to cheer us up. There are four of us in my family and he asks each one of us about our day. Just realizing now, I never ask him about how his day goes even though he always asks me. My hero is a very good man.

He is a good person and a great friend at the same time. I know that he has his ups and downs, Just like everyone, but I know that he is in good spirit no matter what. If he wouldn’t have been such a great person, I don’t think I would have been able to make it through such hard times. Now I know that everyone has a hero or an idol, but not every hero goes the extra mile every single time. Well maybe he doesn’t go the extra mile every time, but he goes the extra mile almost always. My hero is someone who I will admire for the rest of my life.
