I won’t say that my family has an ideal relationships. Sometimes we have arguments, quarrels and misunderstandings as all families do, I think. But still I love each member of my family and happy to have them. I get on well with all the members of my family. I’m an only child in the family. Some people say that an only child in the family grows-up very selfish and spoilt, but I don’t at all. I take after my father. But in spite of it I’m much closer to my mother. If I have a personal problem, I know that I can confide in her.
We always see eye to eye, which is not often happens between parents and children nowadays. I get on well with my father too. I can always rely on him. He used to help me with my home work if I didn’t understand something. When I look back to my childhood I remember he used to tell me that I must always rely on myself and I have to be responsible for my acts. Also he used to teach me to stand up for myself because I don’t have elder brother who will do it. And what about my grandparents, they often spoil me.
I could always get round my granny but not my grandpa. They always encourage me and approve my decisions. Of course I’m not the ideal child in the world. So when I do something wrong or want to get out of doing housework my parents tell me off. I don’t always have my own way and I don’t get away with my misbehavior. But my parents reasonably strict and I can always get through to them. It’s not easy to bring up a child, but my parents do it well, so that is why I love them and look up to them.
