Not only does he hold records for youngest driver in formula one history, he also holds plenty others s well like the youngest driver to take part in an official practice session of a Grand Prix. That’s pretty impressive for a guy who started out driving his toy car in the driveway back in the early 90’s. People who know of Sebastian will say that he is a living legend and that he has changed Formula One by becoming the best of the best. Sebastian has helped change the way we look at Formula One Racing by making it more exciting and eventful than it’s ever been before.

Early Life Sebastian was born in Heppenheim, hesse, West Germany on July 8th, 1987 where he ould spend his childhood perfecting his future profession. The early life of Vettel wasn’t like most peoples growing up. In 1995, he started racing go-karts for a minor league championship in his hometown of Heppenheim. “l remember coming to my first race on a real karting track and I really wanted to win a nice trophy. Finally I won, but I was really disappointed – I didn’t get a cup, Just a simple crown. ” (Vettel) (2011).

After a few years of dominating in kart racing, the popular energy drink known as Red started gaining various titles such as the Junior Monaco Kart Cup in 2001. After he competed in the Formula Renault 3. 5 Series in 2007, he also took his first win at the famous N??rburgring. He was leading the championship when he was called up to Formula One to race professionally and permanently by BMW. Formula One Career During his big debut, Vettel set the fastest time in the second free practice before his first race in Fl .

In his second testing session in the 2006 Italian Grand Prix, he set the fastest time in both Friday practice sessions, which isn’t something that happens too often especially for a rookie. Red Bull signed Sebastian when he resigned from he BMW team in the 2007-2008 season to drive their Toro Rosso race car. During the beginning of the season, Sebastian had a rough time fitting in with the other drivers. Whenever he would try to associate with his teammates, they would ignore him and refer to him as rookie.

The team’s best driver and popular Fl prodigy, Mark Webber, was no exception. Mark and Sebastian were racing together in Japan at the Japanese Grand Prix when rainfall at the time ended their race early with Sebastian driving into Weber causing a big wreck. After the mishap, Mark told to a reporter from ITV It’s kids isn’t it… kids with not enough experience – you do a good Job and then they fuck it all up. ” (Webber)(2007). A video was uploaded later that week on Youtube showing that Lewis Hamilton (other Fl driver) actually caused the accident that night in the rain.

The next four years seemed to be the years that Sebastian used to learn the tracks and the drivers because he had made some “rookie” mistakes, but Sebastian finally struck gold with his first Championship win in 2010. The Reigning Champion Lately the unstoppable force really has given other drivers a run for their money. Not only has Sebastian won the last three championship races, he Just won his fourth this past summer. This 2013 season has been his best yet because he has won eleven races out of the seventeen, and in his seven most recent races, he has placed first.

Now that Sebastian is technically the 2013 champion, does he have enough to become next years champion? No one has ever won more championship races than him, and this is big because not every day do we get to see someone make history. If he can race next year like he did this year, then it should be an exciting season of acing for Fl fans. Not only is he known for being the fastest on the track, but maybe next year someone can rid him from his throne. He is one of the few drivers I admire because he wants to win.

Furthermore, Sebastian’s victories have sparked a rivalry between him and his Red Bull racing partner Mark Webber. Now, Vettel is known for ignoring his crew members when racing like he did in a race almost a year ago. “Vettel admitted on Sunday night in the post race press conference that he will be looked upon as the “black sheep” after he ignored team orders and passed Mark Webber in the closing stages of Sundays Malaysian Grand Prix” (2013). Sebastian is one of the few drivers that doesn’t care for the money or the fame. He Just wants to be remembered for what he has done to help change the Fl world.

Conclusion The future of Sebastian Vettel looks like it’s going to be a bright one. With four consecutive championships under his belt and possibly a fifth, it doesn’t look like he will be going into retirement anytime soon. At a young age, he was racing go-karts dreaming of becoming a race car driver and now he has done Just that. Maybe one ay, NASCAR will be in Vettel’s future. Even though it wasn’t easy getting to where it is today, he sure does make it look easy when he crosses the finish line forty five seconds ahead of the guys behind him.

He’s known for being the fastest on the track but maybe next year, a new kid will be even faster. References British Grand Prix 2011: revealed – the real Sebastian Vettel (2011).
