The proposed edifice will be located at the location of the current edifice, Pao Siu Loong Building.
The edifice will be a seven – storey multifunctional edifice with length of 40m, breadth of 20m and tallness of 54m. The tallness between the floors will be 5m, whereas for the 7th floor is the multifunctional tribunal, therefore the tallness will be 10m. The ceilings of each floor will hold a thickness of 2m.
The edifice will hold offices, a canteen, a acquisition Centre, talk suites, schoolrooms and a multi – functional tribunal. The edifice can be used by the staff and pupils for both societal and academic intents. For safety grounds, this edifice will hold two exigency issues, residents can get away from both sides of the edifice through the issues if there is an exigency. More inside informations are available in subdivision of Floor Plans.

FLOOR Plans
The edifice will dwell of 7 floors, each floor with different functionality to run into demands of pupils and staff. Lifts are use as the chief transit linking the floors in this edifice. No lifts are at the seventh floor as that floor is used as the multifunctional tribunal. Residents will hold to entree the tribunal through the stairway in the exigency exits. For the disability residents, a disability step lift will be installed on the stairway linking the seventh floor. Detailss of each floor are stated below:
The 1st floor of the edifice will be a canteen. The increasing tendency of the figure of staff and pupils shows that the extra canteen will run into the demands of staff and pupils.

Materials
All of the stuffs used in this building are in conformity with the sustainability rules and will do the least injury to the environment and homo. The chosen stuffs are long permanent and lasting, therefore the long term care cost of the edifice will be low. The waste produced are non risky and will take down the disposal cost as no particular intervention for the waste before disposal is required.
Crystalline cement
The cement is a matrix of cement and rosin that allows the incursion of visible radiation to supply the natural lighting while keeping the structural strength of the whole edifice. The cement besides creates the aesthetics visual aspect of the edifice.
Eco Friendly Bricks
It is besides known as Eco Bricks, made by supercharging the by-products from coal power works. The bricks have a comparable quality and are comparatively inexpensive compared to the conventional bricks. Its production has zero part to the planetary heating as it does non bring forth CO2.
Construction Procedure
Destruction
The destruction of Pao Siu Loong Building will be a edifice implosion, therefore the destruction clip can be shortened. The edifice will be ensured to fall into its footmark, without doing any harm or perturbation to any other edifices near to it. A site clearance will be done on the edifice to take flammable, risky and potentially explosive stuffs. The site will be covered in thick geotextile cloth and will be fenced to forestall the public entree. Explosives are placed on the supports of edifice. The remotion of supports through explosives will do the edifice to fall in itself. Cleanup and disposal of the remains will take topographic point once it is confirmed the edifice has wholly collapsed.
Main Construction
( a ) Footings
The method used to build the termss will be pole building as the site of building is a aslant land. A pole will be placed into the hole that is dug into the land and assorted with concrete. Steel support is non required in this method, therefore doing the pole building the most economical manner in building of picking on the sloping land.
( B ) Floor
Brick wharfs will be used for building the floor back uping system as they are cost effectual. The wharfs will be attached onto the concrete tablet termss straight. For the floor frame, inline joists fixed to bearer with joist hangers will be used as it can transport more tonss comparing to the conventional joists on carrier.
( degree Celsius ) Slab
Prefabricated concrete slab will be used in the building for the proposed edifice. To better the thermic insulating belongingss of the slab, a bed of expanded polystyrene that acts as insularity bed, is casted with the concrete slabs.
( vitamin D ) Wall
Eco Bricks and crystalline cement will be used to build the walls of the edifice. The bricklaying clip is less than the conventional bricks, therefore it can shorten the building clip. Crystalline cement is used on parts of the edifice to let light incursion to cut down the trust on illuming system.
Completing
( a ) Windows
Double glassy glass Windowss will be installed on each floor. The window is composed of dual paned glass and has the belongings of selective transmittal. It merely allows incursion of light with certain wavelengths that is good to human. It can absorb or reflect parts of the infrared UV that is harmful to human under long – term exposure. In add-on, it is besides thermally insulative and has noise decrease belongingss due to its dual window glass glass construction.
( B ) Doors
Singing wooden doors will be used for the doors in the edifice. All doors will hold the fire retardent and fire immune coatings that can defy the extreme temperatures up to 10000C for an drawn-out clip to let more clip for get awaying in instance if there is fire exigency.
( degree Celsius ) Paints
Zero VOC pigments with mixture of fire retardent and fire immune coatings will be applied on both exterior and interior of edifice, leting the whole edifice to defy a higher temperature particularly during the fire exigency. Zero VOC pigments has reduced toxins and low olfactory property, it benefits every people particularly those with allergic reactions and chemical sensitivenesss. The pigments do non bring forth any risky waste, therefore the disposal cost and environmental impact are low.
Installation of Servicess
Once the building and coating of edifice are completed, the installing of services in the edifice will take topographic point. Sewage and drainage system, electrical system, centralized air – conditioning system, H2O pipes system, LED illuming system, radio web system and other services will be installed. Lifts will be built after the completion of electrical system in the edifice. All of the electrical contraptions installed are energy efficient and lasting, therefore the care cost are expected to be low.
In order to follow with the safety ordinances, the security systems inclusive of invasion dismaies and CCTVs, the complete fire safety system which includes goon system, backflow devices smoke sensing system, fire dismay system, exigency lightings, fire hosieries, fire asphyxiators and fire sprinkler system will be installed throughout the edifice.
Completion
A series of trial will be carried out for 2 hebdomads to look into on the structural strength, designs and other services in the edifice before its handover. Alterations will be done if necessary.PROJECT SCHEDULE
