11 years ago I gave birth to a healthy boy who changed everything about me. Before his birth I was a carefree, immature party girl without a care in the world, after his birth I grew up stopped parting and took on the responsibility that was gifted to me. It has not been a stroll in the park more like a steep climb up a mountain, but it is not something that I would give up no matter how hard it can get ? Before the birth of my son I was a carefree, immature party girl without a care in the world. I remember spending my days shopping at the mall, not worry about spending too much money.
Spending summer days at the beach, going to amusement parks and festivals. I remember drinking and dancing the nights away with my friends. I remember just shopping, partying and having a good time. 11 years ago, May 19, 1999 it all changed, I gave birth to my son Bradley. The day I went in to the hospital to give birth to him was a very exciting day, I checked into the hospital at 5:00 in the morning, they were going to induced me at 6:00 a. m. I remember laying there being so excited and just wanting him to be out already.
They came in and hooked me up to the IV’S I went 6 hours without feeling any pain, but being so bored just laying there, then the doctor came in and broke my water at 12:00 p. m. and that is when I started wishing it would really all end, the pain was so bad I thought I was going to die, but it did not last long at 4:15 my baby boy was born and he was just perfect the little pain I had was worth it. When they put him in my arms he was so soft and warm. His eyes were open and so bright. I remember crying and thinking wow this is my son, and he is just perfect.
His birth changed everything about me and my life. It was a very nice unexpected gift. Having my son was the best thing to happen to me, it changed my life for the good. ? After his birth I grew up stopped parting and took on the responsibility that was gifted to me. His birth made life harder, No more spending days at the beach or spending money at the mall, but I would not have it any other way. I had to worry about money for diapers, food, clothing and housing, eventually worrying about his education. It has not been a stroll in the ark more like a steep climb up a mountain, but it is not something that I would give up no matter how hard it can get. He is the greatest gift I have ever been giving. Watching him learn new things everyday brought me great joy. When he took his first step without falling down, or when he spoke his first word. Even now 11 years later I burst with joy when I look at him, when he learns something new or brings home a good grade from school. My son’s birth has changed my life forever and I would not change it for anything from my past.
