Give examples of materials that are translucent Wax paper, tissue paper, frosted glass

How is light reflected and refracted? When light is REFLECTED it BOUNCES off an object but when light is REFRACTED it BENDS when it moves from one material to another.
Explain how light reflects off of a mirror The light hits the surface of the mirror and bounces off at the same angle.
What is the difference between a convex and a concave lens? CONVEX lens is thicker in the middle (thin on the edges) and makes objects appear larger but CONCAVE lens is thinner in the middle (thick on the edges) and makes objects appear smaller
Where is a convex lens used? Microscopes, magnifying glass, eyes, eyeglasses, camera lens
Where is a concave lens used? Camera viewfinder, eyeglasses, telescopes
Explain how a prism works White light goes into the prism and is refracted. The prism separates the light into its component colors.
