The Bond Of Love In a fine Sunday evening, as the two brothers were playing their rollerblades gleefully, their happiness between them were disturbed with just a small fight. Their conflicts started when George, the younger brother, pushed his elder brother, Ryan. The elder brother was seriously injured and they had a tremendous fight . Ryan has a bone to pick with his brother when George pushed him. As they were fighting, an old lanky man came towards them with a light step. Both of them were perfectly appalled as the man shouted his harsh voice and spoke to them in a voice that shook with anger and hatred. Hey, kids! Why are you fighting? ”At that moment, neither George nor Ryan dared to speak even for a word. They stopped fighting as the man approached and interrupted them. The old man asked George to help his injured brother to stand up and brought him to the nearest wooden bench. As they were sitting at the bench under a big shady tree, the man who introduced himself as Mr. Frank, talked to them in a solemn manner. Calmly he said, “What’s happening between you both? Both of you are siblings so why are you fighting? Just because of a trivial matter. They kept blaming each other although the old man was staring at them seriously . While they were blaming each other, the man suddenly said that he wanted to tell them a touching story . The story started with a life of a happy family which consisted of four members. Living with a lot of happiness in the family, there were a couple of siblings, the elder was Finnigan and the younger was Fred. Finnigan’s mother had died when he was five years old. After four years had passed , his father decided to marry a beautiful and gorgeous widow who had a child named Fred.
One vivacious morning, as they were on their way to go for a picnic together, they were involved in a very tragic accident. Their parents died as they were on their way to the hospital . The two siblings were lucky since they only had minor injuries. After they had fully recovered, they knew that their parents had died . Now, they were an orphan, so they had to stay with their aunt, Mrs. , Katheline who was a well-known noble, as their parents had no other siblings . When their parents were still alive, Mrs. Katheline was very closed with Finnigan and Fred.
She was such a lovely and caring aunt to them . Once in a blue moon, Mrs. Katheline would bring them to a nearby restaurant and bought them a lot of food. However, after their parents had died, she had changed a lot . She did not treat Fred and Finnigan as what she used to treat them . As they lived there, they felt very sad because their aunt had treated them like a servant. Fred was the one who Mrs. Katheline hated the most. This was because Fred’s mother , Mrs. Hanna , who was Mrs. Katheline’s younger sister, had fallen in love with Mr. Joe Frank just like her sister.
Although Mrs. Katheline and Mrs. Hanna were siblings, but they had an argument when Mrs. Hanna married with Finnigan’s father, Mr. Joe Frank . She had not met Mrs. Hanna for quite a long time. While the other children were busy studying , Finnigan and Fred had to do the house chores . Washing clothes, mopping the floors and cleaning the house were their daily routines . Though their aunt was rich , but she refused to finance their studies . Fred and Finnigan were eager to pursue their studies, so they had to work painstakingly as a waiter in a small stall.
With their considerable fees, Fred and Finnagan managed to earn money for their studies. One day , Fred felt ill because he had worked so hard to support their lives . When Fred was 10 years old, he suffered from a potentially-deadly disease, kidney failure. Now, his illness had became worse then before. The doctor who treated him said that he needed a kidney donor . As his brother was sick, Finnigan had to work hard to pay for Fred’s treatment. After Mrs. Katheline knew from Finnigan that Fred had fallen sick and he needed a lot of money to cure his brother, she realized that she had been very cruel towards them all this while.
From that moment onwards, she decided to help his nephew by accommodating the fees for the treatment . Although they had enough money for the treatment , there was no suitable donor for him . Unexpectedly, Finnagan offered himself to be the donor but the doctor said that his body condition did not allow him to undergo an operation since he was weak and not so healthy. For the sake of his brother, he insisted to be the donor . After the four hours operation, Fred became conscious and he was safe from any complications after surgery.
Unfortunately, his brother , Finnigan had passed away a few hours after the operation had finished. Mrs. Katheline was sad and regretted her violent action towards Finnigan.. However, Fred did not know about his brother’s condition. He received a blot from the blue when his aunt told him about the sad news. He was extremely shocked and immediately cried after that. After he had recovered, he determined to help the people who suffered from kidney failure by being a specialist doctor. After a few years had passed, he managed to finish his studies and graduated from a well-known university.
Now ,he had owned a clinic and became a famous doctor in the city. One morning, Fred took a trip down memory lane as he looked through his photo albums. After he succeeded in his life, he always remembered his brother’s sacrifice in which his brother Finnigan had donated his kidney to him and he was willing to donate his kidney just for the sake of his brother. “And now, hopefully you both can learn something from this story. Apparently, it shows that blood is thicker then water. ” said Mr. Frank earnestly. Then, Ryan suddenly asked him , “Was it a real story?
Did you knew the boys? ” Sadly, Mr. Frank said in a lower voice , “Actually, the boy was me over three decades ago. You both should not fight over a trivial matter. Indeed, only our siblings and our nearest family can help us when we were in trouble. ” Then the boy thanked the old man for sharing the great story about the sacrifices of a brother and brotherly love.
